Your files

PDFs, MOBI, Word, comic, text, EPUB and HTML files that you open on this site are read and converted by code running in your browser. They are not sent to our server or to anyone else. The EPUB you download is created on your device.

What the site records

When you use a tool, your browser sends a short anonymous event to this site, for example “a text PDF was converted”, together with coarse buckets such as a file size range or a page count range, the preset you picked, the page you were on, and an anonymous visitor id stored in your browser. Events never contain file names, titles, authors or any text from your files. Our server also sees your network address when it receives an event; it keeps only a salted hash of it to limit abuse, not the address itself.

If you reserve a plan or send a message through the contact form, the email address and message you type are stored so that we can reply or tell you when something opens.

Analytics and cookies

This site uses Google Analytics (GA4) for anonymous usage statistics: page views and the same anonymous steps described above, never file names or file contents. The converters work without it. Questions about privacy can go to support@pdftoepub.site. The site stores an anonymous visitor id in your browser’s local storage and, for site checks, a flag in session storage. It sets no advertising cookies today. If ads are added later, this page will say so first.

Scanned-book conversion

Scanned-book conversion (OCR) is not offered yet. When it is, scanned PDFs would have to be uploaded to a server for processing, and this page will change before that happens.

Your choices

You can stop using the site at any time. To ask us to delete an email address you gave us, use the contact form.
